N’Djamena to gain 40 mw power plant through Algeria-Chad partnership
In a significant stride towards bolstering regional energy infrastructure, Algeria and Chad have formally entered into an agreement for the construction of a substantial 40-megawatt (MW) electricity generation facility. This vital project is earmarked for Chad’s capital, N’Djamena, marking a pivotal moment in bilateral relations. The accord was officially sealed in Algiers by Mourad Adjal, Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, and Passalé Kanabé Marcelin, Chad’s Minister of Water and Energy. This collaborative endeavor reflects a shared commitment to strengthening ties between the two nations and directly supports the broader vision of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who champions robust support for African countries and the strategic advancement of South-South cooperation.
