New EU envoy in Chad delivers credentials to president mahamat idriss déby itno

In a dignified ceremony held at the Palais Toumaï, the newly appointed European Union ambassador, Amador Sanchez Rico, formally presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19. The event underscored the deepening diplomatic ties between Chad and the European Union.

The solemn occasion was attended by Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Integration and Chadians Abroad. The European diplomat was accompanied by Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation at the European Union Delegation in Chad.

This credential presentation marks the official beginning of Ambassador Sanchez Rico’s three-year mandate, during which he will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and fostering sustainable cooperation initiatives that directly benefit the Chadian people.
