The OHADA Club at Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey is proud to announce its annual solemn opening session on May 22 and 23, 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00. This year’s gathering centers on the theme “OHADA: Past, Present, and Future!”
The event will be held in conjunction with the 8th edition of the OHADA Advocacy Ace Competition. This prestigious competition aims to foster excellence in legal eloquence, deepen understanding of uniform African business law, and spark scholarly debate on the evolution of OHADA regulations.
Competition discussion topics
- Preliminary round: “Is it time to redefine business law within OHADA?”
- Final round: “Is OHADA Law business law or economic activity law?”
These questions reflect current discussions about expanding the scope of OHADA law and aligning it with Africa’s—and the world’s—economic shifts.
Prizes and awards
Winners of the OHADA Advocacy Ace Competition will receive:
