The President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, has dispatched a high-level delegation to Yaoundé, carrying a personal message for his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya.

Conducted by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Integration and Tchadese Abroad, Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, the delegation also included the Special Advisor to the Head of State, Mahamat Saleh Abdeldjelil, the Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology, Fatima Haram Acyl, and the Director-General of the Agency for Regulation of the Telecommunications Sector (ARSAT), Hassan Adoum Younousmi.

The delegation was received at the Palais d'Étoudi by the Minister of State, Secretary-General of the Presidency of Cameroon, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh.

While details of the message were not made public, the head of the delegation stated that it was part of the efforts to strengthen the excellent relations between the two Heads of State and the people of Chad and Cameroon.

The visit aims to deepen cooperation in strategic sectors for the economies of Chad and Cameroon. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in areas such as economy, energy, and infrastructure, with a common goal of advancing regional integration.

This diplomatic mission is part of the continuity of relations between N'Djamena and Yaoundé that date back several decades. It demonstrates the commitment of both countries to maintaining a permanent framework for consultation and solidifying historical, political, and economic ties between the two nations.
