Algerian prime minister concludes official visit to Niger
Algeria’s Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, concluded his official visit to Niamey on Wednesday, marking the end of a two-day diplomatic mission focused on strengthening bilateral ties and energy cooperation between Algeria and the Niger.
The high-profile visit culminated in the inauguration of the Algéro-Nigerien Solidarity Power Plant, a 40-megawatt facility generously gifted by Algeria to support Niger’s infrastructure development and energy security. The project underscores the deep fraternal bonds and commitment to mutual growth shared by both nations.

The Prime Minister, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, co-chaired the inauguration ceremony alongside Niger’s Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman. The Prime Minister’s departure from Niamey was marked by a formal farewell at the city’s international airport, where he was greeted by Niger’s Prime Minister and Algeria’s Ambassador to Niger, Mr. Ahmed Saadi.
