Ndiaga Seck’s statements to investigators regarding Ousmane Sonko’s awareness of his private life

Following his appearance this Monday before the Linguère urban police, Matar Ndiaga Seck was formally charged and subsequently placed under judicial detention. A judge at the Louga high court issued this warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of unnatural acts.

During his interrogation, the 51-year-old political figure reportedly made several statements to investigators. These accounts suggest Ndiaga Seck asserted that Ousmane Sonko had no knowledge of his private life or his alleged sexual orientation.

Ndiaga Seck reportedly stated in Wolof, “Xamul woon li may dund,” which translates to, “He knew nothing of my private life.”

The judicial inquiry, initiated by the investigating magistrate, continues after several arrests were made in this case across Linguère and the Djoloff region. Judicial authorities are working to establish the responsibilities of the various individuals implicated in these proceedings.

As of now, Ousmane Sonko has not issued any official response concerning the statements attributed to Ndiaga Seck.

In adherence to legal principles, all individuals involved in judicial matters benefit from the presumption of innocence until a definitive ruling is delivered by the competent courts.
