The High Authority for Party Regulation (HARP) of Pastef-Les Patriotes has released a provisional list of candidates vying for the party’s presidential position ahead of the upcoming general assembly.
In its official decision, the body overseeing the internal electoral process confirmed that, at this time, only Ousmane Sonko‘s candidacy has met all required criteria and been deemed admissible.
The document, made public by the HARP, explicitly states that no other applications have been validated so far in this initial phase of the selection process.
The highly anticipated Pastef-Les Patriotes assembly, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, will play a decisive role in selecting the party’s next leader.
