Abdourahmane Diouf strongly condemns Ousmane Sonko’s recent remarks on President Bassirou Diomaye Faye

In a pointed reaction to the recent public pronouncements made by the leader of Pastef regarding President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Abdourahmane Diouf did not hold back in his sharp criticism of Ousmane Sonko.

Diouf voiced his deep concern for Senegal, remarking, “Alas, Senegal! This is precisely what transpires when a parliamentarian, having reached the esteemed position within the National Assembly, lacks a fundamental command of parliamentary procedures and then confronts the rigorous demands of the office. The intricate processes become elusive, the very moral principles they espouse ultimately suffocate them due to an inability to personify those values, while precise analysis dissolves under the weight of an alarming intellectual emptiness.”

He further elaborated that in such a scenario, “truth is then replaced by excessive manipulation, nurturing the false hopes of a revolution utterly devoid of genuine direction or steadfast leadership.”

Abdourahmane Diouf concluded his address by reiterating his unwavering dedication to the nation’s foundational institutions, emphatically proclaiming, “The Republic! Nothing but the Republic!”
