Algeria and Niger have embarked on a renewed push to enhance their bilateral cooperation within the vital hydrocarbon sector. Mohamed Arkab, Algeria’s Minister of Hydrocarbons, recently engaged in extensive videoconference discussions with Hamadou Tini, Niger’s Minister of Petroleum, focusing on strategic avenues to deepen their energy partnership.

The high-level meeting, attended by key officials from both nations’ ministries, provided an opportunity to review the latest activities undertaken by Algeria’s national oil company, Sonatrach, in Niger.
