IAI-Cameroun alumnus receives prestigious african student excellence award in Paris

In a ceremony attended by a distinguished assembly of scientific, cultural, and diplomatic figures in Paris, France, on June 27, 2026, Brayan Yebga Miyogog was formally presented with the “Prix d’Excellence de l’Étudiant Africain” (PEEA). This prestigious accolade, awarded by the association of the same name and led by Géraude Akakpo, recognizes the former student of the Institut Africain d’Informatique du Cameroun (IAI-Cameroun) / Paul Biya Center of Technological Excellence for his remarkable resilience, outstanding academic achievements, and unwavering commitment to ethical leadership with a global impact for Africa.
This international recognition underscores the inherent value of young talent meticulously trained at IAI-Cameroun. Brayan, an expert in software engineering, benefited from the institution’s rigorous program, which is expertly managed by Resident Representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the UNESCO Chair for Central Africa in ICT Access.
Securing this Silver Award, which celebrates the resilience, dedication, and academic excellence of African students both on the continent and in the diaspora, is a testament to the sustained expertise fostered at IAI-Cameroun. The honored recipient himself acknowledged that the foundational qualities instilled at the Paul Biya Center of Technological Excellence—such as rigor, discipline, a penchant for thorough work, and perseverance—were instrumental in shaping him into the successful role model he is today. “On the big day, I will proudly represent IAI. In my speech and discussions, I will emphasize my origins and the superior quality of education I received there. It is an immense honor to represent the school before such an audience,” the young laureate articulated. This achievement brings immense pride to IAI and its leadership, who are dedicated to equipping young professionals with proven competencies for the competitive job market.
It is worth noting that just weeks prior, the #AgriGuardian platform, with Brayan Yebga Miyogog as a key contributor, triumphantly secured the ‘’Prix du Public TechforTech’’ in the Petit Poucet 2026 competition.
Currently, Mr. Miyogog serves as a trainer and junior architect specializing in systems, networks, and #cybersécurité, based in Montpellier, France. This #digital virtuoso seamlessly integrates advanced skills in information technology, #digital security, and #AI.
