This decision follows the regulatory framework established by Decree No. 2021-300 of June 9, 2021, specifically under the provisions of Article 65, which dictates the professional structure for civil engineers. The ministry has clarified that the timeframe for submitting applications to the National Order’s roll has been officially pushed back to allow more professionals to comply.

The census targets all Béninese civil engineers, whether they are currently practicing within the country or living abroad. To be eligible, candidates must possess a design engineering degree, a professional master’s degree validated by the State and CAMES, or an equivalent recognized qualification. The registration call spans several critical technical fields, including:

  • Buildings and public works (BTP)
  • Geotechnics and transport infrastructure
  • Hydraulics and energy systems
  • Sanitation and environmental engineering
  • Electronics, computer science, and telecommunications

Qualified individuals are instructed to complete their registration via the official digital portal. This process must be finalized within thirty (30) days from the announcement’s signature date. Through this extension, the authorities aim to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive establishment of the very first official roll for the National Order of Civil Engineers of Bénin, urging all practitioners to meet the legal requirements promptly.
