Boko Haram’s growing threat in the Lake Chad region

Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno issued a strong warning following a devastating attack. On social media, he pledged to intensify efforts against the Islamist militant group Boko Haram, declaring: « We will continue this fight with renewed determination until this threat is completely eradicated ».
