For weeks, Bradley Barcola’s future at PSG has been a hot topic. The former Lyon winger is reportedly unhappy with his role as a luxury substitute in crucial matches. Liverpool have shown strong interest, and with his contract running until 2028, a decision appears imminent if he does not extend his stay.

Despite featuring regularly, Bradley Barcola is not Luis Enrique’s first-choice starter for big games. This situation may push the former Lyon winger toward an exit from PSG. Liverpool are among the clubs interested. However, the transfer talk has stalled for now, especially while the World Cup is ongoing. Journalist Romain Beddouk points out that with Barcola’s contract expiring in 2028, the timeline for a decision is narrowing.

Barcola’s future coming to a head?

“The feeling he has, or the one his close circle may be feeding him, seems a bit unjustified to me. But there’s a contractual reality. Barcola arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in summer 2023 and still has two years left on his deal. This is the window to negotiate an extension,” Beddouk explained.

“We’ll see a conclusion soon”

“If he doesn’t renew with Paris, now is the time to secure the highest transfer fee. So expect a resolution shortly. We’ll discover whether Barcola’s frustrations are serious enough to leave the club that reached two Champions League finals. PSG won’t keep a player against his will if he isn’t fully committed to the project,” Beddouk added.
