Sesanga, Fayulu et Kabund

This weekend, Bujumbura became the focal point for a series of Congolese delegations engaged in critical discussions concerning the Democratic Republic of Congo’s political landscape. These pivotal consultations were initiated by Évariste Ndayishimiye, who holds the dual roles of Burundian Head of State and current Chairperson of the African Union.

Prominent figures from the C64 opposition coalition’s presidium, including Martin Fayulu, Delly Sesanga, Dieudonné Bolengetenge, Jean Marc Kabun, and Francklin Tshiamala, have arrived in the Burundian capital. They are scheduled for meetings with President Ndayishimiye to advance these crucial talks.

Religious leaders are also actively participating in these important dialogues. Archbishop Ejiba Yamapia, who presides over the Platform of Religious Denominations and Revival Churches in the RDC, is present, alongside representatives from the Catholic Church and the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC).

Consequently, Bujumbura serves as the venue where both the political opposition and the nation’s leading religious organizations are convening to address the Democratic Republic of Congo’s ongoing political crisis.
