Côte d’Ivoire teams up with global and private sectors to empower young innovators
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire — A landmark agreement has been sealed between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Orange Côte d’Ivoire to fast-track digital inclusion among the nation’s youth, particularly young women, while fostering entrepreneurship across the country.
The strategic memorandum of understanding, inked on May 21, 2026, in Abidjan, marks a significant step toward bridging the digital divide and reducing inequality through innovative, tech-driven solutions. Both parties are committed to launching joint initiatives that align with national development priorities and global sustainability goals.
Key focus areas of this collaboration include comprehensive digital skills training programs, mentorship for startups, and expanded digital access in rural and underserved communities.
