Jean Paul Ntsengue warns against organised poverty in Cameroon
Electoral expert denounces ‘irresponsible plunderers of public wealth, crooked politicians, and men with excessive ambitions’
In a recent statement, political analyst Jean Paul Ntsengue paints a grim picture: a hungry and easily manipulated youth. He accuses those who have deliberately worsened poverty to control young people.
“Poverty is a fatal danger to the Republic. Conspirators and clientelists know this. Among them are irresponsible plunderers of public wealth, crooked politicians, men with excessive ambitions, and so on. They have created conditions that worsen the poverty of Cameroonians, throwing hordes of starving youth into the streets. These youth are then sold empty promises in exchange for fanatical support, especially on social media. They have blocked anyone who could assist President Paul Biya in his heavy task, instead promoting mediocre individuals loyal to them. Unfortunately for them, God is never distracted. Spasmodic movements will not be enough to mend the deep wound, because everything ends. The Head of State, who promised to enter history as the man who brought democracy and prosperity to the Cameroonian people, is a lucky man, chosen by Providence. He knows what he must do to enter history honorably. Let us give him our unwavering support for this second half without overtime.”
