Kazakhstan and Morocco forge stronger trade and investment partnership
Kazakhstan seeks to establish direct trade channels with Morocco, aiming to source high-quality goods from the North African nation without intermediaries.
Kazakhstan has elevated Morocco to the status of a strategic partner, opening new avenues for expanding bilateral trade and investment flows, announced Alibek Kuantyrov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, during a meeting in Rabat.
Addressing reporters after discussions with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Kuantyrov revealed that Kazakhstan aims to import Moroccan goods directly, eliminating middlemen to secure premium-quality products from the Kingdom.
The Central Asian nation also expressed its intention to boost wheat, processed goods, and other merchandise exports to Morocco, highlighting a shared political alignment on international agendas and mutual support mechanisms.
For his part, Minister Mezzour emphasized the importance of deepening economic and commercial relations between the two nations. He pointed out that Kazakhstan possesses resources Morocco urgently needs, including natural gas, cereals, and meat products.
These resources, he noted, could significantly enhance Morocco’s food supply security, stabilize consumer prices, and ease household spending pressures.
Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a direct and sustainable economic partnership, designed to strengthen bilateral trade, ensure stable supply chains, and boost mutual investments.
