Lake Chad youth rally behind security forces in Baga-Sola
On the afternoon of Sunday, May 24, 2026, a powerful display of community solidarity unfolded in Baga-Sola, as young people from the Lake Chad region, organized under the Coordination of Lake Youth Associations (CADELAC), extended crucial support to the Forces of Defense and Security (FDS) actively engaged in the fight against Boko Haram.
Speaking before local dignitaries, CADELAC coordinator Mahamat Adam Moustapha commenced by offering heartfelt condolences to the families tragically impacted by the recent assaults in Barka Tollorom. He then went on to commend the profound sacrifices made by the FDS in their unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace and stability. Moustapha underscored the resolute dedication of the region’s youth to fostering citizen vigilance and strengthening community mobilization efforts.
In a gesture both humble and deeply symbolic, CADELAC presented the security forces with five 50 kg bags of rice and ten cartons of pasta. This contribution, as articulated by the coordinator, serves as a testament to the resilient spirit of the youth, determined to stand firmly behind the forces dedicated to ensuring security across the Lake Chad province.
