Liverpool’s attacking targets: exploring options beyond barcola
Currently representing France at the World Cup in North America, scheduled from June 11 to July 19, Bradley Barcola, who remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028, could soon become a prominent name in transfer discussions. The former Olympique Lyonnais talent has indeed caught the attention of Liverpool, a club actively seeking to inject fresh energy into its offensive unit.

The attacking dynamics at Paris Saint-Germain are poised for potential shifts during the upcoming summer transfer window. While players like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Senny Mayulu, and Ousmane Dembélé are expected to remain, uncertainty looms over the futures of Gonçalo Ramos, Ibrahim Mbaye, Kang-in Lee, and notably, Bradley Barcola. The latter has been a long-standing target for Liverpool, and the impending arrival of Victor Muñoz at Anfield is not anticipated to diminish this interest.
Yan Diomande emerges as primary target
Liverpool is reportedly planning to acquire another swift attacker for the next campaign. The top priority for the Reds is Yan Diomande, a player also on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain. The 19-year-old winger, currently with RB Leipzig, shared his perspective after Côte d’Ivoire’s opening World Cup match against Ecuador, which they won 1-0. He stated, “I am a RB Leipzig player, but who knows what the future holds? My agents handle those matters, and my current focus is entirely on the World Cup. It’s a quadrennial event, so I am making the most of it, and we will see about the rest later.”
Liverpool explores additional options
Given the substantial €100 million valuation set by Leipzig for Yan Diomande, coupled with the competitive interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool is actively exploring alternative transfer routes. This includes pursuing Bradley Barcola, who is committed to PSG until 2028. Other potential acquisitions for the Reds this summer include Said El Mala from Cologne, Yankuba Minteh representing Brighton, and Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille.
