Major security sweep in N’Djamena’s 10th district yields 447 arrests
A significant joint security operation in N’Djamena led to the apprehension of 447 individuals and the confiscation of illicit weapons. Public Security Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache commended the dedicated efforts of the security forces.
A large-scale, multi-agency security sweep was recently conducted across the 10th district of N’Djamena, Chad. This extensive operation involved personnel from the National Gendarmerie, National Police, GNNT, and other specialized law enforcement branches, working in a coordinated effort to enhance public safety.
The initiative was closely overseen by high-ranking officials, including Police Controller General Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Division General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar. Public Security Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache was also present, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining order.
The comprehensive crackdown resulted in a significant haul, including the confiscation of various weapons and vehicles found to be operating illegally. Furthermore, authorities apprehended a total of 447 individuals. This figure comprises 165 foreign nationals lacking proper documentation and 282 Chadian citizens who were unable to produce valid identification papers. Following the successful completion of the operation, Minister Aghabache publicly lauded the professionalism and dedication exhibited by all participating security forces.
