The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Colombia have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation between the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission and the UN Security Council, prioritizing peace as a central pillar of global stability.

In New York, Ambassador Omar Hilale, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and current Chair of the UN Peacebuilding Commission, welcomed Ambassador Leonor Zalabata Torres, Colombia’s Permanent Representative to the UN and June 2026 President of the UN Security Council, for a courtesy visit on June 3.
