Olivier Giroud tips Ayyoub Bouaddi for Real Madrid move amid PSG interest
Paris Saint-Germain appear to be making a move for Ayyoub Bouaddi during this transfer window, coinciding with the World Cup where he has been representing Morocco since last week. His impressive start as a starter has sparked strong reactions among observers, fueling fresh speculation about his future. Could it be PSG? Rumours are growing, but Olivier Giroud sees things differently.

A contract until June 2029. That was the deal agreed between Lille’s management and the Ayyoub Bouaddi camp last December. But this extension does not seem to have cooled the interest from PSG’s board. The trend suggests that Paris Saint-Germain currently hold an edge over Arsenal and Real Madrid, both also keen on the 18-year-old Moroccan international.
“His head is well set — he is calm, he is confident”
Having played alongside him at Lille this season, Olivier Giroud took the opportunity while working as a pundit to paint a glowing picture of Bouaddi. “I was impressed by his maturity and his entourage, which is truly healthy. His head is well set in the sense that he is calm, he is confident. He always stays himself, even on the pitch. It’s a gift to have him in your team. I think Morocco can be really happy to have him.”
“If he gets there, then he will play for Real Madrid next season”
According to Olivier Giroud, although PSG are in the race, it is Real Madrid where Bouaddi could land if he improves his finishing. “He showed his talent from the first match and this is only the beginning because he is just 18. I think it will be hard to keep him at Lille. He is a very complete player. The only thing he must improve — and he knows it because people tell him — is finishing. Be more aggressive in front of goal. If he gets there, then he will play for Real Madrid next season.”
