In the Anguissa neighbourhood of Yaoundé’s fourth district, a 10-year-old girl was stabbed to death during the night of Saturday, June 27 to Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Shock and grief gripped the Anguissa area of Yaoundé on Sunday, June 28. Sylvana, aged ten, was brutally stabbed multiple times by a 22-year-old woman. The suspect claims she acted under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The tragedy occurred overnight while the girl’s parents were away from home.

Young Sylvana succumbed to severe stab wounds inflicted by her attacker. The alleged perpetrator was apprehended on June 28, 2026, at a place of worship. She is now in police custody as investigations continue to shed light on the circumstances of this distressing event.
