African union commissioner highlights Morocco’s economic strides under royal leadership
The African Union (AU) Commissioner for Economic Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry, and Mines, Francisca Tatchouop Belobe, commended Morocco’s remarkable advancements during a recent visit to Rabat.
Addressing the press following her meetings with Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Commissioner Belobe underscored the Kingdom’s outstanding achievements in the industrial sector over the past years. She highlighted Morocco’s leading position in Africa’s automotive and aerospace industries, positioning the country as a key player on the continent.
The Commissioner also praised Morocco’s willingness to share its expertise with other African nations, particularly in establishing a value chain for critical minerals—a strategic move that strengthens the continent’s industrial and economic resilience.
In a gesture of gratitude, Commissioner Belobe acknowledged His Majesty King Mohammed VI for his unwavering support to the AU Commission, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in driving Africa’s sustainable development.
