Corlay Côte d’Ivoire marks 60 years with bold energy sector plans

Corlay Côte d’Ivoire, formerly Texaco, commemorated six decades of operation with a landmark ceremony held on May 6, 2026, at its Vridi headquarters in Abidjan’s industrial zone. Marking the start of a year-long celebration, the event highlighted the company’s legacy of resilience, its commitment to innovation, and its vision for the future as it seeks to strengthen its influence across Côte d’Ivoire’s energy landscape and beyond.

The anniversary festivities were attended by partners, employees, and key institutional figures. Speaking at the event, CEO Alassane Ouattara reflected on the company’s journey over the past 60 years, emphasizing its ongoing modernization drive to meet evolving industry demands. The 2026–2030 strategic plan, he explained, centers on four core pillars: enhanced governance, human capital development, accelerated digital transformation, and sustainable growth that delivers measurable value.

« These 60 years represent a story of trust, perseverance, and dedication to our customers, partners, and teams. Our goal is to carry this legacy forward with responsibility and determination, shaping the Corlay of tomorrow, » Ouattara stated. To deepen community and stakeholder engagement, the company has planned a year-long program of activities, including promotional campaigns, local outreach, and social initiatives aimed at reinforcing its bonds with clients and partners nationwide.

Mohamed Touré, a senior executive, underscored the company’s adaptability amid shifting energy market dynamics. He highlighted Corlay’s strategic positioning in industrial supply, marine fueling, and lubricants, reaffirming ambitions to expand its footprint across Côte d’Ivoire. Today, the company operates over 60 service stations nationwide, produces 16,000 tons of lubricants annually, and maintains a strong presence in both local and regional markets.

The milestone celebration serves as a platform to showcase Corlay’s growth trajectory and innovation-driven approach, while positioning the company for leadership in high-value energy solutions. With regional energy challenges intensifying, the company is focused on consolidating its role in marine fueling, lubricants, and advanced energy services—key segments where demand continues to rise across West Africa.
