The Senegalese National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) has issued a warning regarding dangerous swell conditions and strong winds expected to impact coastal regions in the coming days. Maritime users are urged to exercise extreme caution and strictly adhere to safety guidelines until May 16.

ANACIM reports that hazardous swell conditions, originating from the Northwest, could exceed 2.5 meters along the Grande Côte starting Tuesday, May 12 at 3:00 AM. The effects will reach Dakar by Wednesday, May 13 at 1:00 AM and persist until Saturday, May 16 at 1:00 AM.
Additionally, strong northerly winds are forecasted for the Grande Côte from Monday, May 11 at 11:00 PM through Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 AM, with gusts potentially reaching 40 km/h.
