New mission ‘Sentinelle’ approved for enhanced protection

During the discussions, Brigadier General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, Commander of the joint Chad-Central African Republic forces, endorsed the operational plan for Operation Sentinelle. Proposed by the G5 Sahel cell, this initiative aims to:

  • Deploy additional military units equipped with fixed and mobile surveillance posts
  • Improve response times to suspicious activities along the border
  • Strengthen security cooperation between Chad and the Central African Republic
