Morocco’s Speaker of the House Rachid Talbi Alami welcomed a delegation of French corporate leaders on June 9, 2026, during their working visit to the Kingdom from June 8 to 12. The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between Morocco and its European partners, with a particular emphasis on investment opportunities.

The French delegation, representing companies from various industries, sought to gain deeper insights into Morocco’s ambitious development projects and its strategic role as a bridge between Africa and global markets.

During discussions, Rachid Talbi Alami outlined Morocco’s recent reforms aimed at improving the business environment, along with the country’s legal framework for foreign investment. He highlighted the Kingdom’s robust infrastructure, stable institutions, and economic advantages that make it an attractive destination for international investors.

The meeting also covered Morocco’s African initiatives, including a royal project to enhance Sahel countries’ access to the Atlantic Ocean and the proposed Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline. These initiatives reflect Morocco’s commitment to fostering South-South cooperation, regional integration, and shared development across Africa.

Additionally, the Speaker presented an overview of Morocco’s political system and the evolution of its parliamentary experience over the past six decades.

This engagement comes as Morocco strengthens its position as a key industrial, logistics, and financial hub connecting Europe and Africa. The Kingdom is actively seeking foreign investments, particularly in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and service sectors.
