The French National Navy has boarded the oil tanker Deliver, a vessel illegally displaying the Cameroonian flag, due to existing sanctions from Yaoundé.

Following the interceptions of the vessels Tagor and Smyrtos in early June within the English Channel, both found to be unlawfully flying the Cameroonian flag, the French Navy on Tuesday, June 23, detained the oil tanker Deliver, which was also found to be displaying a false Cameroonian flag. An in-depth review of the ship’s documentation subsequently confirmed the initial suspicions regarding the irregular nature of its Cameroonian registration.
