Sport and diplomacy: Ivorian officials engage with Rwandan president in Kigali

Kigali, 22 May — In a display of regional collaboration, the Ivorian delegation led by Minister of State Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Kigali during the inaugural Basketball Africa League Investor Day. The delegation included Sports Minister Metch Adje Silas, who represented President Alassane Ouattara.

The meeting highlighted the strong ties between Abidjan and Kigali, with both leaders expressing shared optimism about Africa’s future. Minister Adjoumani conveyed President Ouattara’s warm greetings, underscoring the depth of Ivorian-Rwandan relations.
