Jordan pledges unwavering support to Morocco after foiled terror attacks

Amman has strongly condemned the terrorist schemes thwarted in Morocco, reaffirming its full solidarity with Rabat in safeguarding national security and territorial integrity.

In an official statement released by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, authorities in Amman expressed deep concern over plans designed to destabilize public order and endanger lives and property across Morocco.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Majali, emphasized Jordan’s absolute backing for Morocco, hailing the decisive actions taken by Moroccan authorities to protect citizens and uphold the country’s stability.

This declaration follows the announcement by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations regarding the dismantling of highly dangerous terrorist plots at an advanced stage of execution.

Coordinated raids, based on intelligence provided by the General Directorate for National Security, led to the arrest of radicalized individuals across multiple Moroccan cities.

Preliminary investigations suggest these suspects were operating under the logistical and operational guidance of the Islamic State’s Sahel affiliate.
