The nation’s focus is particularly directed at preventing their recruitment, ensuring their comprehensive protection, and facilitating their lasting reintegration into society.

During a pivotal AU PSC session addressing the vital issue of “the protection of child soldiers in Africa,” the Moroccan delegation underscored the grim reality that children remain among the most vulnerable victims of ongoing conflicts across the continent. They are tragically exposed to forced recruitment, pervasive violence, and interrupted schooling, factors that profoundly jeopardize their long-term prospects and well-being.
