Pastef concludes extensive jolof tour, inaugurates linguère headquarters
PASTEF-Les Patriotes has successfully concluded an extensive 48-hour political outreach across the Jolof region. Delegations traversed all 19 communes within the Linguère department, from Dahra to Barkédji, and through Sagatta and Yang-Yang. This significant field campaign saw the active participation of party leader Ousmane Sonko, Minister of State Habib Sy, along with numerous national executives and coalition allies.
The immersive visit to the heart of Jolof served as a clear display of the party’s growing influence and deep local roots. The itinerary featured cordial meetings and discussions with the area’s esteemed religious and traditional authorities, complemented by strategic working sessions involving the party’s grassroots structures, including youth, women, and executive members.
Territorial network expansion and departmental headquarters opening
Following this highly mobilized effort, the local party branches officially presented their strategic roadmap for the upcoming period. A pivotal moment of this journey was the inauguration of PASTEF’s new departmental headquarters, marking the official launch of the membership card placement campaign. The stated objective is to strengthen the party’s territorial network through intensive, community-focused engagement across the department’s villages and neighborhoods.
A call for unity
In the wake of this internal restructuring, local political leaders issued a solemn appeal for unity. This call for solidarity is directed not only at long-standing militants and sympathizers but also extends to political figures from other parties who are keen to align themselves with the party’s vision for territorial development.
