During a recent engagement with the press, Aminata Touré, serving as the general supervisor for the Diomaye Président coalition, offered her perspective on the departure of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

 

Aminata Touré asserted that Ousmane Sonko’s tenure in the premiership ultimately proved unsuccessful, directly leading to his removal from office. She articulated her critique with an ironic remark, suggesting that one might be appointed Prime Minister, entrusted with significant responsibilities, yet fail to execute any tasks effectively, thereby necessitating dismissal.

 

Furthermore, Aminata Touré underscored during her statement that genuine leadership courage lies in actively resolving the challenges faced by Senegalese citizens. This, she emphasized, requires leveraging one’s skills, strategic insights, and professional network, rather than merely exercising official prerogatives for an extended period without delivering tangible solutions to the difficulties confronting the populace.
