After a standout season in Ligue 1, Malian midfielder Mamadou Sangaré has made a high-profile move to Brentford FC, marking the club’s most expensive signing to date. The 24-year-old, who arrived in France last summer from Rapid Vienna, has agreed to a five-year contract with the London-based club.

The transfer, reportedly valued at over €45 million by British outlets, underscores Brentford’s commitment to strengthening its squad with top-tier talent. Sangaré departs RC Lens having cemented his place in their starting lineup, lifting the Coupe de France and earning the Marc-Vivien Foé Award as Ligue 1’s best African player.
