Mali’s security forces boosted with new logistical fleet
The Malian Ministry of Security and Civil Protection handed over twenty specialized vehicles to security agencies, enhancing their operational readiness through national funding.
Twenty state-of-the-art vehicles have been officially transferred to Mali’s security apparatus, marking a significant upgrade in logistical capabilities for the national defense and response agencies. The handover ceremony, held on July 31, 2026, was led by General Daoud Aly MOHAMMEDINE, overseeing the distribution of six 60-seater buses, one recovery vehicle, two 20,000-liter water tankers, eight 4,000-liter fire trucks, and three 50,000-liter combined fire and water tank trucks. These assets were allocated to the National Police, Civil Protection, National Gendarmerie, National Guard, and the Staff School of the Security Forces.
General MOHAMMEDINE emphasized that these investments reflect the commitment of President Assimi and his transitional leadership to bolster the operational efficiency of the Armed Forces and security services. He highlighted how improved mobility and rapid-response logistics are critical in addressing emerging security challenges across the country.
General Boucary KODIO, Director-General of Civil Protection, underscored the responsibility of recipients to utilize these resources effectively. The event concluded with a live demonstration of the fire trucks’ capabilities, showcasing their readiness in emergency scenarios.
