As expected to be very active this summer, PSG has just made its first major transfer official. After three seasons in the capital, Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos leaves Paris Saint-Germain and joins AC Milan on a permanent deal until 2031.

This summer, PSG will undergo significant changes in its squad. Coach Luis Enrique wants to refresh a group that has won the Champions League two years in a row. And while behind the scenes things are heating up, the first big move of the transfer window has just been announced with Gonçalo Ramos signing for AC Milan.

Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan — it’s official!

Indeed, through an official statement, PSG has confirmed the transfer: “After three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain and no fewer than 12 trophies won, including two consecutive Champions League titles, Gonçalo Ramos joins AC Milan on a permanent transfer.” Immediately after, the Italian club confirmed the news and provided the length of Ramos’s contract: “AC Milan announces the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC. The Portuguese forward has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2031.”

One of the biggest sales in PSG history

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but reports indicate that AC Milan is paying €74 million, with bonuses that could raise the total to €80 million. This is not only the most expensive transfer ever made by the Rossoneri but also the second-largest sale in PSG’s history. The record remains the €90 million paid by Al-Hilal for Neymar in 2023, but Gonçalo Ramos now sits just behind, ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Xavi Simons, who were each transferred for €50 million to Manchester United and Tottenham respectively. PSG’s summer is officially underway!
