With just over a year remaining until the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Dakar 2026, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has framed the upcoming event as more than a sporting spectacle—it is a national and continental calling.

During the recent award ceremony for the Concours général, Senegal’s premier academic competition, the president delivered a powerful message to the nation’s top-performing students.
