Chad president returns home after UAE diplomatic visit
Chad’s Head of State, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, returned to N’Djamena following a high-level official trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he held key discussions with UAE leadership.
The President of the Republic and Head of State, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, arrived back in N’Djamena late this evening following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
During his stay in Abu Dhabi, the Chadian leader engaged in two separate meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initial discussion took place at the Presidential Palace, while the second meeting was held at the maréchal’s temporary residence.
Upon touchdown in N’Djamena, President Déby was greeted by a high-profile delegation including the Prime Minister, Ambassador Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, several government ministers, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Personal Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
