Gabon post savings: check your name online from home
Gabon Post has introduced a new digital solution enabling frozen savings account holders to verify their registration details without stepping outside. Alfred Ikaka Bobe, the Post’s Director-General, confirmed the launch of an online platform designed to streamline the process for approximately 60,000 affected savers.
Accessible via https://www.ccp.laposte.ga, the platform went live on Monday and quickly reached its peak capacity after nearly 10,000 visits within hours of opening.
The service will be fully restored today following a brief technical update announced by Alfred Ikaka Bobe. Savers can now confirm their continued status, update their current address—whether inside or outside Gabon—and specify where they wish to receive future payments.
Those whose records are confirmed but have lost their original passbooks must visit a post office to request a replacement. Only savers officially listed by the liquidator are eligible for this service.
This initiative comes after the 2017 collapse of PostBank SA, a Gabon Post subsidiary, which left numerous savers unable to access their funds. Following years of unfulfilled pledges from the previous administration, the transitional government reaffirmed in February 2025 its commitment to settling the debt. A total of 31.212 billion CFA francs has been allocated, to be disbursed in three equal annual installments.
