Ivorian PM rallies investors at PND 2026-2030 consultative forum in Abidjan
Côte d’Ivoire’s economic blueprint takes center stage as private sector unites
Abidjan — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. The session, led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, brought together over 700 business leaders and investors from allied nations to discuss strategic economic partnerships.
In his opening address, Mambé emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s growth ambitions. “This gathering marks a pivotal moment in our collective journey to harness private capital for sustainable development,” he stated. “The participation of more than 700 international investors underscores the confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory.”
Addressing a packed hall of business executives and sector representatives, the Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a vital platform for fostering public-private collaboration. “Your commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s vision reflects your trust in our nation’s economic potential,” he said. “Together, we can build a more competitive economy, generate quality jobs, and ensure inclusive growth.”
Private sector to spearhead Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation
Mambé reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of economic modernization. He pointed to Côte d’Ivoire’s robust economic performance—averaging 6.5% annual growth amid global challenges—as proof of its resilience and adaptability. “Côte d’Ivoire is not just keeping pace; it is setting the standard for dynamic African economies,” he asserted.
The Prime Minister outlined key investment opportunities aligned with the PND 2026-2030, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition;
- Strategic infrastructure development, such as transport, digital networks, and logistics;
- Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to enhance productivity and inclusivity.
He also noted that the first day of the forum, focused on institutional partners, attracted over 3,000 delegates from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, signaling strong international interest.
