Ivorian prime minister rallies investors for 2026 development plan

The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on attracting investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Ivorian Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

During the opening session, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering, which brought together over 700 investors from friendly nations. « This marks a new milestone in our investment-focused consultative process, aimed at driving economic growth and value creation, » he declared. With more than 700 investors in attendance, we are witnessing strong international confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development trajectory. »

The event drew key players from the private sector, including business leaders and investors who traveled to Abidjan to engage in discussions. « This forum is not just a dialogue platform but a strategic opportunity to align our national vision with the ambitions of the private sector, » the Prime Minister emphasized. By investing in Côte d’Ivoire, you are placing your trust in an economy poised for robust growth and job creation. »

He underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind the country’s economic transformation. « Côte d’Ivoire has demonstrated remarkable resilience, with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, solidifying its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies. » The Prime Minister reassured investors that the nation’s economic stability and adaptability make it a prime destination for long-term investments.

« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunities, » he stated. The discussions and agreements forged today will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development, digital innovation, logistics, and human capital investment. » These investments are critical to enhancing the nation’s competitiveness and fostering an inclusive, productive economy.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including local stakeholders.

In response, representatives from major business organizations expressed their unwavering confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their readiness to contribute financially to the PND 2026-2030 through substantial commitments.
