Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé opened the second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, bringing together over 700 investors to energize the nation’s economy.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This marks a pivotal moment in our Consultative Group focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,» Prime Minister Mambé declared. « Our goal is clear: mobilize private investments essential for turning this development vision into reality. I’m pleased to share that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this critical gathering.»
With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives flocking to Abidjan in large numbers, the Head of Government emphasized the significance of this event as a prime opportunity for dialogue with private sector stakeholders. It also serves as a platform to align on a shared development roadmap.
« Your commitment by our side reflects the trust you place in Ivory Coast’s economic outlook and its growth potential,» he told attendees. « You are key partners in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive economy that generates quality jobs. The success of this vision hinges on the private sector’s willingness to invest.»
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability in recent years, achieving an average growth rate of 6.5% during this period. This performance solidifies Ivory Coast’s standing among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunities,» he continued. The day’s discussions will focus on accelerating investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition. We will also address critical infrastructure development, especially in transport, digital technology, and logistics, to enhance our economic competitiveness and appeal. Additionally, we will explore investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel us toward a more productive and inclusive economy.»
He highlighted that the first day of the Consultative Group, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Ivory Coast.
In response, leaders of the private sector echoed their confidence in Ivory Coast’s leadership.
