The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

“This marks a pivotal phase in our consultative process, focusing on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is clear: mobilize the private sector to drive this ambitious development agenda forward. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this dialogue,” Prime Minister Mambé stated.

With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives flocking to Abidjan, the Prime Minister emphasized that this gathering serves as a vital platform for collaboration. It fosters shared visions and strengthens partnerships to propel Côte d’Ivoire’s growth.

“By standing with us, you affirm your confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory. You are key players in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive, job-creating economy. Your investments are the backbone of this transformation,” he added.

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic metamorphosis. He reassured investors of the nation’s robust economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and solidifying its place as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is a market brimming with opportunity. Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030. We are targeting industrialization, local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, and strategic infrastructure development—transport, digital technology, logistics—to elevate our competitiveness and appeal. Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services will further drive a more productive and inclusive economy,” he declared.

Prime Minister Mambé recounted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

On behalf of the investors, Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged to play a full role in implementing the PND 2026-2030 through substantial financial commitments.
