As President Bassirou Diomaye Faye officially inaugurated his new political entity, KIIRAAY – Les Patriotes Républicains, he delivered an unequivocal caution: « Fii, saa fitnë dootufi nanee ñeex ». This powerful statement translates to a clear message: « Here, from this moment forward, what was previously tolerated will no longer be permitted. »

In his communication, the founder of KIIRAAY – Les Patriotes Républicains underscored Sénégal’s enduring reputation as a nation committed to stability and lasting peace. This public declaration emerges amidst escalating friction between the two prominent figures of the executive branch. The backdrop to this heightened tension includes the ongoing restructuring of the presidential majority and the establishment of the President’s new party.

This intervention follows several months of openly displayed disagreements between the head of state and his former head of government.
