The Cameroonian Senate is fully prepared for the opening of its ordinary June 2026 session tomorrow, June 9, 2026.
In a final administrative check, the Senate’s Secretary-General, Gustave Léopold Ngane, accompanied by his deputy and senior officials, conducted a thorough inspection this morning at the Council for Social and Economic Affairs building.
This final assessment covered all critical infrastructure needed for smooth parliamentary proceedings. The delegation meticulously reviewed conference rooms, the VIP reception hall, banquet facilities, and the main chamber where senators will convene throughout the session.
Following the inspection, the Secretary-General expressed complete confidence in the operational readiness of all facilities. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations have been finalized ahead of the session’s opening.
As per parliamentary tradition, the June session will primarily focus on budgetary discussions, strategic exchanges between the Senate and the Supreme Audit Court, and careful examination and adoption of new legislation.
