Ivorian investors rally behind 2026-2030 development plan at Abidjan forum

Abidjan, July 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively focused on investors, kicked off at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé led the opening session, emphasizing the critical role of private sector engagement in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda.

The Prime Minister highlighted the forum’s significance, stating, “This marks another milestone in our collective effort to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to secure the private investments essential for turning this development vision into reality.” He noted the strong turnout, with over 700 investors from friendly nations participating in the event.


Addressing a room filled with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and private sector representatives, the Head of Government stressed the importance of collaboration between public and private stakeholders. “This gathering serves as a vital platform for dialogue, aligning our shared development goals while reinforcing Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential,” he remarked.


Prime Minister Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the country’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global challenges. “Côte d’Ivoire’s proven adaptability and steady progress confirm its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies,” he added.


The Prime Minister outlined key sectors ripe for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:

  • Industrialization and local raw material processing to boost value addition
  • Strategic infrastructure development, particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics
  • Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to enhance productivity and inclusivity

He also referenced the first day of the forum, which attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, for discussions on institutional partnerships and development strategies.


Representatives from leading business organizations echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. “We are fully committed to supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s vision,” stated Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI). Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial contributions to accelerate the PND’s implementation.
