The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) have declared that they eliminated nearly a hundred armed fighters during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat this week.

Targeted strikes and tactical coordination

In an official statement, the FAMA confirmed that the operations were designed to neutralize combatants linked to the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azauad Liberation Front (FLA). The military campaign included 13 precision airstrikes, which successfully destroyed six armored vehicles and a pickup truck.

These operations unfolded on Tuesday, as part of a broader initiative to dismantle armed factions across multiple regions. The FAMA emphasized their commitment to maintaining disciplined and resolute action, executed in close collaboration with allied forces to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Russian Africa Corps contributes to joint military efforts

The Russian Africa Corps, in a separate statement, revealed that their operations resulted in the destruction and burning of numerous militant vehicles. Additionally, a Corps-operated drone successfully targeted a vehicle transporting ammunition and military supplies.

The Russian Africa Corps described the missions as highly successful joint operations alongside the Malian military, aimed at dismantling insurgent networks. They reiterated their intention to continue targeting militant positions and equipment to further degrade their operational capabilities.
