The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the elimination of approximately one hundred armed combatants linked to militant groups.

According to a formal statement, the operations targeted fighters from the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA). The military also confirmed conducting 13 airstrikes, which successfully destroyed six combat vehicles and a pickup truck carrying weaponry.

The announcement emphasized that these operations took place on Tuesday, reinforcing the army’s ongoing efforts to dismantle armed factions across the country. Officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining disciplined and resolute military action in collaboration with allied forces.

International support reinforces military efforts

The Africa Corps, in a statement shared on X, disclosed that the strikes led to the destruction and burning of a significant number of militant vehicles. Additionally, one of its drones reportedly struck a vehicle transporting ammunition and military supplies, further crippling the enemy’s logistical capabilities.

The Africa Corps highlighted the success of these joint operations with the Malian army, describing them as highly effective against armed groups in the region. The organization vowed to persist in targeting militant strongholds and their equipment to weaken their operational capacity.
