Our pre-season was shorter than usual, but we’ve worked hard and believe we’re prepared. We’re still missing a few key players who could strengthen our squad further, yet the current group is in good shape.
Recent setbacks, like the heavy loss to Real Betis (0-4) last week, were part of the process. New arrivals such as Malick Fofana, Ernest Nuamah, and Loïs Openda joined later, so their integration is still ongoing. The young forwards need time to adapt and reach their full potential. The Betis match served as a reality check, highlighting areas for improvement.
What’s the situation with Pavel Sulc and Mads Bidstrup, who are unavailable? Sulc is nursing a knee inflammation, while Bidstrup is dealing with cartilage issues. We’re hopeful both will recover soon. Sulc arrived later due to World Cup commitments and was eager to play against Sparta Prague, but it’s not possible at this stage. Despite his outstanding previous season and interest from other clubs, he remains a valuable asset for us.

Sparta Prague’s Adam Karabec poses a unique threat. The Czech midfielder is in top form, highly motivated, and knows our tactics well. His set-piece delivery could expose our defensive strategies, so we’ll need to be vigilant. Beyond that, we’re confident in our approach.
